The project is implanted in a 1,400m2 land in the heart of the north of Quito in a spoon. The medium-density housing building starts from two main ideas: first, dividing the volume into two “L” -shaped blocks following the morphology of the land. Second, to generate an interior-exterior stepped plaza with vegetation to support and support the two housing blocks with communal space. Finally, the design of the apartments manages to take advantage of the perimeters of the blocks to maximize the quality of lighting and natural ventilation.
